Your history stays on your Mac.

This policy describes Clipappboard for macOS, prepared for distribution by GRUPO EMPRESARIAL INNURE SL., and this site’s support channels.

What is stored locally

Clipappboard keeps compatible content that you copy and data used to organize it: date, source app, type, thumbnails, aliases, pins, and collections. This data is stored on your Mac.

You can pause capture, ignore the next copy, and use the exclusion controls. Sensitive-content markers are not guaranteed to detect every secret in every app. Pause capture before copying information you do not want to keep.

If macOS carries a copy from another device to the local clipboard through Universal Clipboard, Clipappboard may add it to the history while capture is active. This is an Apple system feature, not Clipappboard’s own synchronization.

Files, previews, and backups

File clips may keep references and access permissions to the original. Previews use macOS services. If you delete or move the file, disconnect its drive, or lose permission, it may no longer be available. Copying a file does not mean Clipappboard stores the complete file.

Backups are created where you choose and may contain sensitive history information. If you choose a folder synced by iCloud or another provider, that service may transfer the file according to your settings. Clipappboard does not include its own synchronization service.

When you share content

Copying, dragging content to another app, opening a link, and using Share are actions you initiate. The destination app or service may receive the content you select and applies its own policy.

Apple purchases and updates

Apple processes the non-consumable Clipappboard Pro purchase, its restoration, and app updates. Clipappboard checks the verified purchase status through StoreKit; it does not receive your card details and has no server of its own for licenses. Your history is not sent to Apple to verify Pro.

Apple’s communications and data handling are governed by Apple’s privacy policies.

Retention, deletion, and permissions

Active clips that are neither pinned nor in a collection are retained for 90 days after their last copy or paste. Trash keeps clips for 30 days. You can review these periods in Settings, move clips to Trash, and permanently delete them.

Backups you exported are managed separately: deleting a clip does not change those backups. macOS may retain container data after an app is uninstalled.

Viewing and copying history, using Trash, and creating or restoring a backup are included in the free version.

Selecting a clip prepares it to be pasted with ⌘V in the destination app. Clipappboard does not request Accessibility permission for this feature. File access depends on system permissions and your selections.

This site, support, and business enquiries

This site has no account registration, advertising, or analytics tools added by Clipappboard. The business enquiry form prepares an email locally on your device; it does not send or store the fields on the website. You decide whether to send the message from your email app. It does not request access to your clipboard. The hosting provider may process technical data needed to serve and protect the website; this is separate from the app’s local history.

If you contact us by email, your message includes your address and the information you choose to send. It is used to handle your request, not to add your history to a service or subscribe you to a marketing list. Do not send passwords, databases, backups, or private files. For app questions, see support.

We process support and business enquiries to respond to you and discuss your request related to the app. The legal basis is handling your service request or pre-contractual steps and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations. Providing your email address and the details needed lets us reply; you do not need to send clipboard content.

We keep these enquiries while they are being handled and for up to 12 months after they are resolved. If a retention obligation applies or an issue remains open, we keep only the information needed for the applicable period. This policy does not mean the app automatically deletes messages from the support inbox.

Technology providers for email and hosting help deliver these services. We do not sell your data or use it to create advertising profiles. We do not make automated decisions about you. Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s own policy.

Your rights

Where applicable, you can request access, correction, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability by writing to info@clipappboard.app. Identify your request and the right you want to exercise; we will ask for additional identity information only if needed. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Data kept only on your Mac is managed from the app and your backups; we cannot access it remotely.

Clipappboard and the original materials on this site belong to their owner. Third-party marks and content belong to their respective owners. Copying content with the app does not grant rights to reproduce or distribute that content.

The public download is available on the Mac App Store. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase with no expiry, subscription, or renewals. Apple shows the applicable price and terms before you confirm a purchase. This website does not process payments.

The date on this page will be updated if this policy changes. If a service that collects data is added, we will review this information and the store privacy disclosure before publishing it.
